ScrapHouse

ScrapHouse is a 44min documentary that follows the planing and building of house built completely from scrap.

Americans throw away over 470 billion pounds of garbage a year. Construction waste, furniture and other household items pour into the dump every day. Are so many useful things being tossed out that a beautiful modernist home, that meets strict building codes, could be built using nothing new?

A San Francisco team comes together to try to make it happen. They have one month and thousands of pounds of garbage to build an architectural marvel.

On U.N. World Environment Day thousands of people from around the world will visit the house… If they can get it done.
